Growing with Purpose

As I reflect on where we are as a club and where we’re headed, I feel incredibly encouraged by the momentum we’ve built together at Collegeville Area Rotary. One of the most important things we’ve recently accomplished is completing our strategic plan — a process that gave us the opportunity to step back, evaluate our strengths, and think intentionally about the future of our club.

Through that work, we identified four important areas that will help guide us moving forward: Increase Our Impact, Expand Our Reach, Enhance Engagement, and Increase Our Ability to Adapt. These initiatives give us a strong framework for how we want to grow as a club while continuing to live out the values and mission of Rotary.

One of the clearest priorities that came out of that work was membership.

To me, membership is about much more than growing our numbers. It’s about growing our impact. It’s about bringing together people who care about their community, want to build meaningful connections, and are looking for ways to make a difference. Every person who joins Rotary brings something valuable to the table — whether that’s ideas, experience, leadership, energy, or simply a willingness to serve.

As we worked through our strategic planning process, it became clear that we have a strong foundation to build on. Collegeville Area Rotary already offers so much through service, fellowship, networking, community events, and leadership opportunities. But we also recognize that there is always room to grow, improve, and make our club even stronger and more welcoming for both current and future members.

I believe we have a great story to tell. We are a club made up of people who genuinely care — about each other, about our local community, and about creating positive impact. That is something worth sharing.

As we move forward, I hope each of us will think about the role we can play in helping Collegeville Area Rotary continue to grow. Sometimes that starts with simply inviting someone to join us for a meeting, an event, or a service opportunity. Rotary has a lot to offer, and often all it takes is an introduction for someone to see how meaningful it can be to be part of this organization.
